About this speaker

Solomon Adewole is an international development expert with years of experience servicing on steering committees and advisory councils to actual implementation of projects. He is a fact finder/fake news debunker with a highlight of the work surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic. With a strong presence on social media via a large following, Solomon has been able to advocate for the inclusion of youth in political processes while urging youth to study and volunteer to further their development. With his online platform, Solomon has been able to give young writers a platform to develop and publish their writing skills, hence improving the quality of content creators,writers and editors in the digital media space, with the results evident in the quality of content by cretors on the Internet. Solomon is a graduate of the National Training Academy, Cairo and holds a Diploma in Architecture from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Nigeria. Solomon advocates for child protection online due to the increasing occurrence of digital harm. 

Solomon served as the State facilitator for the Cybergirls fellowship in Oyo state which taught 20 girls and young ladies with cybersecurity on a year-long fellowship on cybersecurity. Solomon strives for a cyber space that is safe for all children and teenagers without any discrimination by educating youth, teenagers and girls on information management, digital harm awareness and fake news debunking. He also aims to create a USAID Digital Harm Hub/OYO Innovation Hub, a training facility that allows for innovation built on inclusion focusing on mitigating digital harm by training on how to verify information and importance of not sharing unverified information. On the 30th of January,2022, Solomon was awarded as one of one hundred most influential youths in Oyo State, Nigeria as a reward for his achievements and impact in the development space.
