About this speaker

Nicolas Kamanzi is a 23-year-old Rwandan activist who is harnessing his passion for leadership to bring about social change. He is the founder of “Dream innovation-Rwanda”, a social enterprise aimed at bridging the rural-urban digital divide through digital skills training programs.

Over the last year, he served as a member of the USAID CECA Digital Youth Council where he worked to inform, advise and advocate for greater protection against digital harm to children and youth as the US Agency for International Development rolled out its digital strategy.

Before that, he served on a youth board as an Advisor for the Peace and Love proclaimers, a local NGO whose mission is to establish a positive change in the world through peace, unity, and development where he helped guide the future of youth programs in different aspects of human, mental and professional development. In addition to that, Nicolas was also a judge at the Queen’s commonwealth essay competition 2021.

Lastly, he is a Doha Debates ambassador and a People Ops professional with keen on providing evidence-based approaches to handling global challenges. This has earned him a place within the international arena and spoken at multiple international conferences including the Global digital development forum, Protecting children and youth from digital harm symposium, and The UN’s upcoming conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) …. etc. In his free time, Nicolas enjoys watching Ted Talks and Documentaries.
