About this speaker

María José Ananias is Chilean and resides in Santiago de Chile. In recent years she has served as a coordinator of the National Interreligious Committee of the GNRC in Chile, representing the Chilean Association for Interreligious Dialogue (ADIR). She is a social communicator and has a master's degree in interreligious and intercultural dialogue and diplomas in comparative religions. She is also a teacher of interreligious dialogue and comparative religions.

María José has experience in event planning and management, communications, and coordination of social projects. She is currently coordinating an advocacy project with an interreligious focus, promoted by GNRC-Chile, with the aim of creating spaces for children and adolescents from different faith communities to influence the drafting of the new Constitution of Chile.

María José is the current GNRC Coordinator for Latin America and the Caribbean region.
